The following general information is available :

• On-line registers are available under the "Classed Fleet" menu. They provide information on ships identification, classification and main particulars of hull and propulsion machinery. The following on-line registers are available:
  • Sea-going ships
  • ISM certified ships
  • ISPS certified ships
  • Inland navigation vessels
  • ISM certified companies
  The "Classed Fleet" menu also provides access to fleet indicators such as the total number and gross tonnage of ship's presently classed, the fleet distribution by ship's type and gross tonnage and the list of significant newly classed ships. The list of ships with class suspended is also available here.
• The Marine Directory provides information about the worldwide network of BV offices.
• BV Rules provides detailed information concerning all Rules, Rule Notes and Guidance Notes published by the Society. It also gives access to e-Rules, the on-line Rules viewer which provides an easy access to a selection of Bureau Veritas Rules.
• The full text of the IACS Common Structural Rules for bulk carriers and oil tankers is available in PDF format for easy downloading. It also includes information related "Mars", the dedicated BV software for the verification of compliance with the common structural rules.
• BV recognitions provide the list of Flag Authorities having recognised BV to perform statutory surveys and issue statutory certificates on their behalf. It provides details for each Flag Authority concerning the international conventions they have signed and the scope of authorisation granted.
• The list of Approved Service Suppliers contains details about thickness measurements companies and diving companies approved to perform services on board Bureau Veritas classed vessels. The list includes the condition of certification and the expiry date of certificates.
• Approved Manufacturers shows the list of equipment and material manufacturers which are approved by Bureau Veritas. The list includes the condition of certification and the expiry date of certificates.
• The list of Approved products contains details about certificates of type approved equipment, of material used for ship construction and welding consumables.
• Bulletin Technique is one of the oldest technical publications of Bureau Veritas. The last issues starting from 2005 have been made available here.
• The section Publications provides a list of all technical documents published by the Marine Division and includes the Rules and Regulations, the Registers of Ships, Rules Notes, Information Notes and Guidance Notes.
