Bureau Veritas creates Maritime Labour Department for MLC, 2006

To better cater for our clients' needs and our network of MLC inspectors, Bureau Veritas has taken the lead and decided to create a dedicated department, Maritime Labour Department (MLD), within the Ships in Service Management (DNS).

After the success of the 2009 Training Calendar, as part of the BV Training Solutions program, the 2010 Training Calendar has been recently published. It includes 27 titles and 110 training sessions to be held in France, Greece, Spain, Netherlands, Croatia and Singapore. The training courses proposed cover the technical aspects of shipping, international regulations and management tools.

Shipyard supplies model for VeriSTAR-HLC service

The 3D model of M/S Bahía Uno was successfully exported to BV in May 2009, starting from the initial shipyard CAD model made with FORAN software from SENER. The received 3D model was used by the VeriSTAR HLC software without any modification.
